작곡가 김정권 (부산대학교 교수)의 실내악 작품들이 미국 피츠버그 카네기 멜론 대학에서 발표되어 화제다. 본 공연은 음악단체 "피아노의 시인들"과 카네기 멜론 대학교 작곡과의 공동 주관ᆞ기획으로 12월 12일 오후 7:30에 카네기 멜론 대학교 Kresge 극장에서 열린다. 김정권 박사는 감정적 탐미주의 악파의 대표적 인물중 하나로 알려져 있는데, 이번 공연에는 피아니스트 Nathan Carterette, 바이올리니스트 Joshua Huang , 첼리스트 Cecilia Caughman 등 이름있는 연주자들이 참여한다. 국내외 클래식 음악계와 애호가들의 관심을 끄는 공연이다.
The chamber music concert of composer Quentin Kim (Professor at Pusan National University) is scheduled to be given on Monday, December 12, at 7:30pm at Kresge Theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. This concert is brought jointly by the Poets of Piano and CMU composition department. Dr. Kim is considered one of the most representative composers among the Emotional Aestheticism school in contemporary music. Renowned musicians such as pianist Nathan Carterette, violinist Joshua Huang, and cellist Cecilia Caughman will be performing. Much interest is being brought to this special concert by the music lovers worldwide.
